Abia Deputy Speaker Rt.Hon.Cosmos Ndukwe, doing good and touching lifes without boundaries.

To the glory of God, I can say with every sense of humility that we made remarkable progress despite economic downturns. For the records, our sole benefactor, Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe Ph.D stepped his benevolence. In 2017 alone, he provided resources for

1. Payment of WAEC fees for no fewer than 240 senior certificate examinations candidates. We had to revert to our previous method of paying directly to the candidates to avoid the sharp practice of proxies.

2. Sustenance of our undergraduate scholarship programme. Of the 50 on the payroll, we had to withdraw support for a student whose Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) was so low that the University advised him to repeat that year.

3. Training of select persons in diverse skill acquisitions like Dress making, hairdressing, vulcanizing, industrial grinding, barbing, confectionaries (cake and pies making etc), off license sales of drinks etc. 238 persons benefitted. On the 29th of December 2017, MOG generously purchased and gave

a. 3 buses to public servants and artisans who grapple with transportation challenges in the rural areas of Umunna
b. 14 motorcycles

c. 14 giant freezers

d. 42 sewing machines

e. 42 welding machines

f. 42 giant hair dryers

g, 42 sets of flour/cooking gas/groundnut oil

h. 42 sets of generators with clippers for barbers

I. 42 vulacnizing machines

j. 42 industrial grinding machines

4. Building of a house with a shop attached for a physically challenged widow at Igbere. This brings to seven (7) the number of houses built so far.

5. Building and equipping of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Okagwe Item. Interestingly, this community has never had a PHC before.

6. Continuation of our widows/gospel ministers programme. This programme is in its 14th edition. As usual, he gave out gifts and cash grants to mostly indigent widows and some select Ministers in the rural areas.

He had also erected new market stalls to encourage widows in Apanu and environs to do small businesses. All they had before the intervention were inhabitable shanties.

7. Organising of the first ever Christmas party for 3,000 children in Bende. Our man wants to encourage children in the rural areas. Thus, he has directed that FULL SCHOLARSHIP be granted to the best 100 performing children jn the quiz, dancing and debate exercises.

8. Free medical programme for old people in Akanu Item.

While I thank God for using MOG to better the lot of several people, I will also most specially mention that his beautiful wife Lady Ndidi Cosmos Ndukwe has been of immense help. She truly defines a helpmate and wonderful wife.

We look forward to a more grave filled 2018. Trust me , so long as there's life , this Foundatiom will continue to stand in the gap for the poorest of the poor and without strings attached.

God bless all of us.

Ben UDECHUKWU
